The Tannerhof was already a place where people enjoyed themselves at the beginning of the 20th century – with baths in the bathhouse, open-air gymnastics and in secluded log cabins that can still be found on the slopes today. An organic hotel has now been built there, where you can enjoy the wellness programme, therapeutic fasting, yoga, Pilates and the saunas in absolute idyll. The idyll is completed by grazing sheep, chickens, Icelandic horses and two African zebu cattle, which have been supplemented since 2012 by four award-winning air huts, which can be seen from afar with their three storeys. The motto of the whole complex is that you can switch off from everyday life, find yourself and get back in touch with yourself. The art therapy, the fireplace rooms with the selected library, the organic kitchen and the therapeutic fasting help you to do this. Those who fast sit somewhere else in the dining rooms – for their own protection – than the people who enjoy the rich breakfast with egg dishes, wholemeal breads, mueslis and fruit. But that doesn’t mean that the Tannerhof exudes a dogged atmosphere. As proof, a photo of Helmut Schmidt smoking with relish hangs above the bar with the caption “Everything used to be better!”
The Tannerhof also offers a full cultural programme with an interesting magazine and talent evenings for singer-songwriters from the region.
